Company History

EComply was born as an idea in 2016 due to an ever-increasing demand for compliance specialists within a number of regulated industries. Three years later, in June 2019, EComply was born as a 100% citizen owned company.

EComply is the first company in Botswana to provide the non-bank financial sector with specialized, holistic, independent, objective compliance services. The scope of the sectors we service has grown to include providing compliance services to the real estate, accounting, energy and legal sectors along with the non-bank financial sector.

What The Company Does

Our client base is a spread of all the listed sectors. We offer a number of service packages which include once-off support or ongoing support. With ongoing support, a team member is seconded to each client and registered and / or vetted by the regulator as the designated compliance officer or an EComply team member can provide ongoing support for your vetted internal compliance officer as the external compliance support.

The EComply ongoing support solution provides a number of advantages:

  1. All team members can leverage off the skills within the compliance team.
  2. There is always a back up team member who can assist with compliance matters which ensures continuity of compliance services.
  3. Team members can utilize the generic compliance framework, resources and other intellectual property to quickly tailor and implement a client personalized framework.
  4. Although the compliance function is continuous throughout the month requiring continuous monitoring from compliance, team members can allocate predetermined hours in the week to ensure that there is adequate coverage against risk to the client while reducing costs for the client.

Who we are

EComply (Pty) Ltd is a Botswana-based compliance, governance, and risk advisory firm supporting regulated and non-regulated entities across the financial services, professional services, and corporate sectors.

Our History

EComply was established to address a growing gap in the market: organisations required deep regulatory expertise, but also needed advisors who understood operational realities, regulatory expectations, and board-level accountability. Over time, the firm has expanded its offering to include licensing support, ongoing compliance oversight, internal audits, governance advisory, AML/CFT risk assessments, training, and regulatory readiness reviews for audits and inspections.
